I'm going to the ball. The Bloglandia Ball hosted by eb. When I first read about the ball my all time favorite song in the world came to mind. Moondance by Van Morrison. I know I just gave away my age. I of course rushed right in and came up with this little number. But the more I thought about the song and what I would really wear I decided this was not for me. I'm really not a bling kinda gall. And besides my hips are way to big for a drop waist.
The real me is very simple. Old lace, classic style. After all there is a Bohemian side of me that will never fade. Never dress to impress others, dress to express your creative side. So I'm off to the ball, lace handbag over my shoulder. I feel like kicking up my heals. See you there.

That's the thing about an event like this...oh the people we will meet. It's lovely to meet you. Your dresses, both of them, are stunning! And yes Moondance, occurred to me immediately too...my Ball frocks don't necessarily fit my style but it's a night to be daring!

Hope you dance the night away! And dream beautiful dreams afterwards!
One More Moondance With You MY LOVE !!!
And these dresses are BEAUTIFUL
That white dress is gorgeous and definitely shining at the ball.
Your Vintage number is so pretty and ME TOO ! Glam is fun for dreaming (and recovering a small waist / hips !) but the sweetness of a vintage dress...I might feel more myself too.
The collage with the lyrics is a perfect memorial to Our Night Out at The BAll !
Love, S.
Hi there! I love your blog. You've really been cranking out dresses! They are all just darling. I love both the ball gowns. I'm with you on the drop waste....could never pull that off these days. I think I'll settle on the classic design. I'm so glad I found you. I really like your style.
Oooo, I love your drop waisted dress. I COULD have worn that 13 years ago. ;) Your Bohemian is fun too- very comfy and party friendly! ((Hugs))
Lovely posting and fabulous dresses. You be the ball gown girl you want to be; an original YOU!

I'm not really a glamour girl either, more like you described yourself. Me too. But still, I adore BOTH your dresses. Sigh. Wish I could have found time to go to the ball. Hopefully there's a next year...
