The exciting news. She is on the banner outside Dillard's. Dillard's is like Macy's, for those of you not familiar with Dillard's. The store is a stand alone building. These banners hang down from the street lamps, and go all around the building.
She got a kick out of seeing herself, but is glad they are not at the mall by us. She finds it awkward when her friends see her in ads. We are very proud of her. This year she is doing all her schooling online. She spent last summer in Japan modeling and is planning on going back in January. The real shocker is she is only 15. Now that your jaw has dropped and you think what kind of mother allows her 15 year old daughter to go off to Japan. Well, that would be me.We had to trust her. The agency she is with over there is very good at looking out for all the girls. She is very responsible and has more common sense than a lot of adults I know. We have a great open line of communication. That's a good thing for a teenager. She tells me everything, things I don't even want to know she tells me. Oh, she still has her teenager moments and she had her share of ups and downs. For the most part she is a good kid. Grouchy in the morning. Not sure she will ever outgrow that. Her dad's not a morning person either.........

She's lovely! How fun is that to have your pic on a banner. I know you are very proud. I would be too.
oh course you are proud and she is proud of you too - what an amazing Mom - trusting - that's what we all need - trust in ourselves and the belief that others trust us as well...

oh how fun!
I saw them talking about the opening on the news tonight. I live on the opposite end of town though.
How exciting for your daughter, i am sure you are very proud of her and you should be!
What a pretty girl, you should be proud!!
I was looking at your site, I have two bulletin boards that look very much like yours in your craft room. Once I put something on it, I don't want to take it down, not sure then what will happen in the future with the placement of stuff.
Thank you for your nice comment on my site, always love to see a new name.
I made a few of those paper dresses, jewelry and ribbon stuck all over them, boy a person can get carried away with that.
Always lots of things to do, and of course I have to be going to the thrift store every few minutes.
I have gotten so many many things this year form the thrift, I don't know why people are getting rid of such good stuff. I think about half of the pictures on my site are things from the thrift.
Enjoyed looking at your site, your sure are handy.

Thanks for visiting my blog and checking out my new baby grandson. How wonderful for your daughter to have such opportunities at 15. Good for you letting her go to Japan - these are once in a lifetime opportunites and you have to grab them when they come your way. What a wonderful relationship you must have with her when she can talk to you about stuff you may not want to know. It was like that with my 4 and as adults now from 24 to 30 we have a wonderful realtionship. How proud you must be of her.

That is so exciting!! She is so lovely! Everybody will have different opinions about modeling in Japan or whatever, but the only one that counts is yours!
Way to go Proud Mom! She is a fresh face which I love to see. Dontcha just want to go over and visit her in Japan at least? I know I'd love to go to the markets, see the graphics, experience the culture. She must've loved it!
