Left Overs
When you only use the head of the doll, what's a girl to do with all the left over parts? I know she is a little on the creepy side. I like her.My family thinks I have tapped into some dark side. I attribute it to menopause. Sometimes I feel I have all this excess junk going on in my head There again menopause.Well that's my story and I sticking to it.She will have to remain in my "happy place". They (my family) don't want her coming out in public view. I told hubby she was going on his nightstand so when he woke up in the morning he would see her. lol
The above ugly apron is a project from Mystic Paper. The apron will be altered into something fabulous. The "new" aprons will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to A Place to Bark. Check back next month to see what I have come up with. I promise no creepy baby doll heads. lol.

Yes, it is creepy and I love it. You're right, maybe it is menopause.
I love the doll head and spare parts! (and you are cracking me up here on the family commentary - a lot of great art comes out of menopause I think and anyone not going through what we women do just don't get a lot of things!). Anyway, I love it and can't wait to see the apron in its new life!
You nade me laugh this morning with the visual of the doll head on the table next to your husband's side of the bed! Thanks!
I had to laugh at that creation...it's SO something that I would do!
I love your creepy doll head!
Great left overs!!! That is one awesome doll.
Your family's reaction reminded me of my first ArtFest retreat-- I stopped by my sister's on the way home. All her friends were over for dinner and they wanted to see what I made. Every one was chatting away until they walked over to see what I had laid out on the table. They got really quiet and just stared in silence. Nobody moved either. It was hilarious. It still makes me laugh.
LOL...yeah, I don't get the doll thing. My Mom had several in the guest bedroom and we used to laugh, cause many times we would go in there only to find them all facing the wall (rather than into the room). My brother always got a kick out of doing that. LOL. But yeah, I say chalk everything up to the big M...I am. We need to get tee's that say, "It's not me, it's the menopause!". LOL.
