This month's challenge for the
Artful Bag Challenge is Alter It. Using something that is not originally a purse. I used an old hardback book. Removing the guts of the book. I covered the back and front with the pages that were removed. Then waxed over the entire thing. Sides are out of decorative paper and lined inside with the same paper.

Embellished with waxed corn husk flowers, beads, and coffee stained scrim.

I left the back undecorated. I always love how the wax absorbs the paper differently and creates different tones.
