Been a while since I have posted. No excuse. I have been doing a little bit of playing.
Working on a metal tape piece that is coming together. It is taking longer than I had planned. I keep changing my mind. I may be over thinking the whole thing. Since I'm in the metal tape phase I thought why not cover the light switch plate in my "Happy Space" (as one of my daughter's friends likes to call it). Metal tape, Tim Holtz grunge board, elements and alcohol ink. I rather like the way it came out. Just think of the possibilities. Could make for some unique gifts.
Off to get a hair cut. Called my girl this morning to see if she could squeeze me in. She knows I will take the scissors to it myself if I don"t get in. It's funny how one day you like the look of your hair and overnight it turns to crap. Then there is the gray highlight issue.......................................ugh

Very Cool!! I did my switchplate in my other studio, all cowgirly..but left it when we moved.. Those greys are sneaky little things..hate'em!
I will whack my bangs off with a scissors, dull knife or hatchet if they even come close to touching my eyes or cheek bones. Oh, I HATE that. Then I of course end up with weird looking bangs but at least I am at peace with myself until I can get in for professional help :)
Cool switch plate too.
Pam
I really like the way that metal tape turned out on the switch plate. You are right...you could probably come up with some cool gift ideas using that!
Love the switchplate cover....it's great. Yeah, the LSS got in a bunch of new Tim Holtz stuff yesterday...so much fun things. Trying to control the urge to spend. LOL. And yeah...my dh informed me that I have a bunch of grays....yeah, thanks honey. LOL. Yeah and I do the scissor thing too! Bad ain't it? LOL.

This switch plate is so cool. I totally get the haircut thing and do the same with my own scissors. Oh and the gray highlights.....
that is one rockin' switch plate cover! xo
p.s. might be good to put a little note on the bathroom mirror that says, "Step away fromt the scissors." I need one too!
It turned out fabulous! I want to take that class with Mike. I just signed up for the chandelier class at mystic paper!
